Summer camping at Kläppen

Our campsite is beautifully located along the Västerdal River, where peaceful canoe trips, refreshing swims, and cosy ice cream breaks at our ice cream café await.

Kläppen Camping is the perfect starting point for summer adventures in Sälen. Here, you can enjoy a round of disc golf, paddle along the river, hike our summit trail Trollsterleden, or simply relax and take in the calm surroundings and fresh mountain air.

With us, you can choose the pitch that suits you best. All our sites come with electricity, plenty of space, and easy access to service facilities, the river and the café. And if you’d like to stay a little longer, we also offer seasonal pitches throughout the summer.

Summer season 2026

Bookings for this summer’s camping pitches are not yet open. We’ll update the page as soon as bookings are available, so please keep an eye here for the latest information.

Kläppen's Camping is located right next to the Västerdalälven. Here you can jump from our diving tower or step down from the swimming jetty. Our dog swimming area is situated in the northern part of the camping.
Experience the tranquillity on the Västerdalälven with a canoe, SUP or rowing boat. From Kläppen's camping, you can glide along the river and enjoy the soothing nature.
Toppstugan's café is open a few days a week during the high season. If you're visiting during that time, we highly recommend a visit. Here you'll find fika, ice cream, and light lunches, along with a breathtaking view over the valley.
Along Trollsterleden, our wooden marble runs await. Here, children can follow the path of the marbles through the runs. The inspiration comes from the charming Kugelbahns of the Alps. A couple of days a week you can take the gondola up to the top, otherwise there are hiking trails available.
Sit down at Iris Glasskafé at Kläppen's camping and treat yourself to something truly delicious. Here, scrumptious ice cream desserts such as the chocolate bomb, berry dream, and the children's favourite, Trolle & Trollas party ice cream are served.
