Kitchen equipment
  • The kitchen tap has an on/off switch on the tap or under the sink. If you have a problem with the water, check that it is on.
  • If the cooker doesn't work, it may be because there is a lock on Off/0.
  • Do you need anything extra? There are chairs and beds to rent for the youngest children. Also bed linen for adults. Call 0280-96200 and we will deliver it to the cottage. On departure, you leave it in the cottage. If you have rented bed linen, we ask you to put it together with the towels in the hall on departure.
Internet and TV

WIFI.

You can use our wireless network ‘KLAPPENGUEST’. You can connect at Hotel Kurbits, Toppstugan and Kläppentorget. Most cabins have WiFi. You can see if your accommodation has WIFI in the booking confirmation. The code for the WiFi is usually located on/under the router.

The TV offer may be different in each cabin.

Sauna

This is how it works:

  • One control knob regulates the temperature.
  • The other knob (1-3) sets the number of hours the sauna will run.
  • The other (3-9) is a timer that starts the heater after your choice of hours.

If the sauna overheats, it will trigger an overheat protection.

Good to keep in mind

  • You can heat the sauna up to 70-80 degrees.
  • Think about the environment. More than half of the energy is used just to heat the sauna, so it's better to sit for a little longer at a time rather than short and often. Don't leave the heating on for too long and switch it off when you've finished.
  • Remember not to open the ventilation hatch too often.

Due to the risk of fire, clothes and towels must not be dried on or above the heater.

Shower

How long the hot water lasts depends on the capacity of the cabin's water heater. If there are more people in the cabin, the hot water may run out if someone takes a long shower. If the hot water runs out, it will take a few hours before it is hot again.

Drying cabinet

Be careful not to put too much in the drying cabinet as the overheating protection may trigger. If you need to reset the drying cabinet, turn the knob to 0 and it will reset after five minutes.

Need to do some washing?

If your cabin doesn't have a washing machine, you can do your laundry at Kläppens camping. Please contact us on +46280-96200, info@klappen.se or the reception for more information.

The heat

The heat in the cabin is regulated via radiators or a master thermostat. There are main thermostats in most cabins.

  • Sjungarbacken (the thermostats are in the fuse box)
  • Gusjöbyn holiday village and Kläppens holiday village (thermostats are in the living room)

Cabins that do not have thermostats have radiators. Please do not switch off the heater completely.

If it is too cold: Raise the heat to about 21 degrees. If the thermostat is set too low, the radiators will not start. If it is underfloor heating, raise the thermostat. In these cases, it will take some time before you notice that it is getting hot, so be patient.

If the temperature is too high: Lower it to around 15 degrees. Do not forget to raise the thermostat/element before checking out. If you still have problems, contact us on +46280-96200

Light a fire

Before making a fire, check if there is an opening hatch and if so, open it. The glass doors of the stove should be closed during the fire.

If a fire starts

  • Extinguish the fire if you consider it possible. Fire extinguishers and fire blankets are available in all cabins.
  • If you cannot extinguish the fire, evacuate the property. Close doors and windows to prevent the spread of smoke and fire.
  • Call 112, even if the evacuation alarm has gone off.
  • Call reception/emergency services on +46(0)280-96200 / +46(0)280-96215
  • Warn others who are indirectly threatened by the fire.
  • Meet the emergency services and inform them.
Parking

It is important that you park correctly as the roads must be kept passable for emergency vehicles and ploughs. If you have more cars than your cabin offers parking spaces, you are referred to park in the car park at the cross-country ski trail Älvspåret.
