Kläppen Race Academy

At Kläppen, it has always been important to provide children and young people with good opportunities to train and compete. Therefore, Kläppen Race Academy exists. Our training programme is available for young people and post-secondary FIS skiers.

Here, you can complement your training with individual days or create a full training plan for the entire season. The aim is to provide young skiers with a safe and developmental complement to club training, and to offer FIS skiers the chance to continue their alpine commitment after ski school.

Training at Kläppen Race Arena
During the winter, most of the training takes place at Kläppen Race Arena. To create variation and development, we also offer evening training. The evening sessions make it possible to utilise the full potential of the mountain with longer runs, varied terrain, and gradient.

Club and Regional Camps
We offer clubs and regions the opportunity to book our coaches for camps at Kläppen. Get in touch with us to create a plan that suits your group.

Our Coaches

Fredrik Karlsson
He has several years of experience as a coach for the Women's Europa Cup in Sweden and as a regional and district coach. Coach trained via the Swedish Ski Association (SATU).

He has worked as a regional and district coach and for many years as a club coach at Sälens IF. Coach trained via the Swedish Ski Association (SATU).

We bring in experienced additional coaches if needed.

Open training sessions

With us, it is easy to progress. We offer open training sessions for skiers from U14 up to FIS. Some days we also have evening sessions, perfect for utilising Kläppen's full potential with longer runs and varied terrain and gradients.

Training groups

Kläppen Race Academy offers three training programmes for clubs and districts. You can choose whether you want one or two coaches on site, or hire a coach for a smaller group. Our coaches support both skiers and leaders – all to create secure and developmental training days on the mountain.

About Kläppen Race Academy

Kläppen aims to offer safe and excellent training and competition opportunities for children, young people and FIS skiers. Since the launch of Kläppen Race Arena, we have received positive feedback, and today skiers train here daily. We also organise competitions such as Only 16, FIS, Europa Cup and several youth qualifiers. Kläppen Race Academy is run in collaboration with a coaching team with high expertise in alpine skiing. Together, we create a long-term and personal operation where safety is at the forefront. The goal is simple: an arena where everyone can train and compete in peace and quiet, regardless of age and level, and where we contribute to the development of Swedish alpine skiing.
