To our upcoming ski area we will start by logging of forests and after that soil preparation for the new ski area planned on the Kläppen mountain southern side. Klappen's ski area grows with a another peak that is located south of the peak where today "Gondol Sälen" ends its journey and where Toppstugan is located. The new area is therefore named: Kläppen Syd (south).
- Our goal is to be Scandinavia's most exciting winter holiday resort for families with children. Now when we're expanding our ski system with new slopes and a new lift we're getting closer to achieving that goal. This is a start on our master plan - where we are planning even more skiing for our guests, but we are taking the plan forward one step at a time.
Kläppen Syd will introduce 5 new pistes and a new chair lift. The new area can be reached both from the new lift and from the Gondola's top station. The terrain and slope of the current mountain side give the new slopes the degrees of difficulty blue and green. Just as in Kläppen in general, the new area will be nestled in forests that protect the snow in the slopes from the wind, which means that the snow remains longer in the slopes.
