Sven Thorgren visited Kläppen for the first time at the age of ten, and it was love at first ride. In 2018, he made it official by moving to Torgås, just south of Kläppenberget, and thus making Kläppen his new home slope where he loves to put in laps in Kläppen Snowpark.
Sven has a long and successful competition career and has won three X-Games medals, including two bronze and one gold. Today, he's on his 15th year with the Swedish national snowboard team. In addition to competing, Sven has created several film projects with Salomon Snowboards, Scandalnavians and Monster Energy.
As a teenager, Sven was a big fan of the snowboard competition called Oxborn Session. In 2024 he created RipOff Session, which is a contest inspired by the Oxborn Session. Sven invites some of the world's best snowboarders to compete for eternal glory in different disciplines, which means that both participants and audience get to experience a world-class show.
